Brittany is currently cruising through the air, according to the tracker site I found at about 24,000feet. Projected to land in CT around 1:40pm.

This is only her 4th plane ride, and only 3rd trip on them, not sure how it’s going, just rather hope she’s not having any ear pressure problems this time. She seemed to have had them all quite well worked out last trip, but, not sure if that was luck or certain tricks working.

However that aside, now I’m just sitting around twiddling my thumbs without anything really specific to do, waiting until it’s time to head to the airport to pick her up. Thrilling, eh? Ah well, point is, she’s on her way! She called me from the airport saying she was by the gate, so, she clearly got aboard alright, and the flight already took off, and is in the air, so, it’s a given that she’s en-route and that all I have to do is to wait.

Although waiting sucks when you usually spend your time talking to someone that you can’t now talk to. Ah well, I’ll live.

And, I know that she’ll read this at some point, so, Brittany, I love you. I really, really do. I hope that by the time you read this I already know that you had a safe comfortable flight, and I can’t wait for when you read this, because that means our trip together will have begun.

At the airport, waiting to head back down to Florida. Got here at 6, or shortly after, picked up my boarding pass, handed over my checked bag, and went through security. TSA were, surprisingly friendly, the woman that checked my I’d against my license looked at best tired, at worst, outright grumpy, but the agents at the scanners were quite nice, one even noticed my phone in my shirt pocket that I forgot, and pointed it out before I went through the scanner, with a smile and a laugh, guy at the luggage scanner asked if I minded reorganizing the way things were in the trays, and just said it’d help scanning go faster, all in all so far a good day.

Except my flights delayed. Fortunatly it’s only a 23 minute delay total, don’t know why yet though, with luck should get to Tampa around the time I originally was supposed to, cmon strong tail winds!

Planes already at the gate though, so things should go smoothly, and, well, soon I’ll begin a 2week trip to Florida, with the love of my life, woot!

At 7:30, her graduation ceremony began. She’s now home with her family, and is officially a high school graduate. I wish I could have been there, but, her family has so far sent me a decent amount of pictures already, along with a video from afterwards where the tassels are switched right to left and a firework show afterwards.

I really am proud of her. She not only just finished off High School, but she did so with Honors, and as a member of the French Honor Society.

Brittany, once again, congratulations! I love you! And welcome to the world of being a High School graduate! Enjoy your night, and be proud of everything you’ve accomplished! 12 years of schooling has lead you up to this moment! Not only did you take all those years in stride, not only did you face all the challenges thrown at you, but you excelled at them. You looked them in the eye and chose not to just meet them head on, you chose to go over them, above and beyond what was necessary.

You also chose to learn another language, and again there, not only did you only do what was expected of you, you chose to excel at it. And you were honored for doing so.

This truly is your night. You deserve all the congratulations you’ll receive, and ten-fold more then you have the time to receive. You were a wonderful high school student, and you’ll make a wonderful college student.

I say again to you Brittany, congratulations! Again I say, enjoy your night, for it now truly is YOUR night. Have fun, and look back upon your school years. Revel in the joy, remember your friends, your teachers, the good times you’ve had. Remember the challenges you’ve faced, and remember the difficulties you had. However, most importantly, remember that no matter how hard times were at any point, no matter how difficult a class was, you succeeded. All those moments have led to tonight. To your diploma.

As the years pass in college, as you face challenges there, and you start to get annoyed, or discouraged, remember this night. Remember all the other times it may have seemed impossible. Remember that it wasn’t, and remember that you CAN do it. You CAN not only succeed, you can exceed what is expected, you can do anything you want to.

Congratulations Brittany, I love you, and for the final time, enjoy your night, enjoy your break, enjoy being a High School Graduate.

And, a video showing her during the tassel side swap, the cap toss, and a firework display after.

Alright, so, actually had a semi-interesting day so far today, and the next two are looking good themselves.

Started today off at 6:49am with a call from Brittany, she calls every morning, but this time instead of going back to sleep when she headed off to school I stayed up. (On that note, I actually really love talking to her every morning, even if I go to sleep after, it just really is a nice thing to be able to do.)

First thing I did, as it’s force of habit, is check the bank account, and, then I realized there was enough in there for a few things I needed to do…item one, was getting my plane ticket for my trip down to Florida in June, from the 12th to the 27th. Got the flights booked, chose my seats, all set as far as that goes, just have to wait now. Had already set up a countdown until it anyways since I’ve known the when for a bit now, just didn’t have the cash.

Second thing was, had to go with my grandmother to her eye doctor as I had to drive her back, so, got that done and set.

Third thing, was finally swapping car insurance to Esurance and getting my car put on the policy. It’ll finally get registered this saturday, then just needs to get fixed up a bit, and I’m good to go as far as it’s concerned.

Now, looking forward to tomorrow, I’m heading to the ATT store to upgrade to an iPhone 3Gs, that’ll be fun, but, right after that, I’m heading to the post office, and mailing out my 3G to Brittany, as, while I’m at the store, I’m having my plan switched to family talk, and having the 3G put on it as a new line. She should have it shortly after, sending it priority (2day supposedly).

After that’s done, I’m heading to the bank to take some cash out that I owe my mother for getting me a queen size mattress a week earlier than I could afford to myself. Rounding the errands out with a trip to Lowes to get some paint, and see about getting a new door handle and lock for my bedroom door.

Then on FRIDAY, I get to sit around and wait for my new bedframe to get delivered, and then get to set that up, and afterwards, run to lowes AGAIN to get some wood to put under it for extra support. (It’s only particle board with metal supports, and supposedly the side boards have a bit of a snapping problem due to lack of support, I want to prevent that.)

Yea. I’m gonna be busy.

The Florida trip did not disappoint, in fact, I can fully and honestly say I was right, it was the best vacation ever for me. I know now I truly am in love with Brittany, and, theres no way that’s going to change.

The chemistry between us in person was terrific, I didn’t have to try for anything, even the first meet, while I wasn’t quite sure what to do initially, was solved when she ran over and hugged me, I didn’t even have to think my arms just wrapped around her, and, from there on, everything was just, easy, natural.

We’re already planning another trip, later today we should settle on the dates, for me to head back down to Florida in June. After that trip, we’re going to see about having her come up here in July. Not quite sure about anything from there on yet, but, by the June trip, we’ll probably do some planning about that too.

In other news, I finally got an M1A, currently sitting in the corner of my room, nice rifle overall, can’t wait to get it to the range.

Other then that, everythings going pretty well, nothing else really exciting at all has happened. I’ll try to get up pics from both the trip, and update the firearms page with pics of the M1A soon, along with any others that I have that aren’t there yet.

But most importantly, I’m friggen excited as all hell to be so close to leaving! In about another hour and a half I’ll be grabbing a shower, getting all my toiletry bag into my checked bag, and soon after that, after breakfast at a diner up the street, on my way to the airport to check in, check my bag, and head through security, then, just sitting around waiting for my flight, which is probably going to feel like forever, but, ah well, it’s worth it.

Brittany, I love you, and I can’t wait to see you in about 11 hours, not even!

Had a pair of Plantronics Gamecom 377’s for just short of a year now, really do love the things, good sound quality, I like the mic set up, a bit tight, but not too bad, and overall, comfortable. Sadly, today, they broke on me. Literally, the plastic snapped while putting them on. I really didn’t want to pay for a new set, even though I’m probably due to get a fresh set and a new soundcard soon anyways, but, with my trip in April coming up, I’m trying to spend as little money as possible.

Thus I emailed newegg, having noticed I had a limited warranty on them after checking the invoice from the original order, that lasts 1 year. I got this set 4/28/09, so, just barely in that period.

I figured the best result would be I’d have to send them back to newegg and after a few weeks I’d just get a fresh pair. Worst case, I figured I’d get told that since it was a physical break and I couldn’t prove it was a faulty product, the warranty wouldn’t cover it.

What I EXPECTED, was probably return it and get a discount on getting a new one. Or rather, that’s what I was hoping for.

Instead, within a few hours I got an email back saying it’s being replaced free of charge, and, I don’t have to even return the broken one. The order is already processing. The rep said it’s a one time exception, and I don’t know if it’s because I’m a long time customer, or just they’re willing to do this once for anyone, or if it’s just because it’s a fairly low cost item compared to many other things they sell.

However, regardless of the WHY they did it, point is, they made me really quite happy BY doing it, and, even if their prices were a bit higher, I’d definitely continue to show with them, at this point the low prices is just on real nice perk.

Well, if anyone reads this blog, they’ll notice the countdown on the left hand side now. If you didn’t, I get a feeling you just DID.

Well, long story short, that’s a countdown until I head out to Florida in April from the 3rd to the 11th. On what I think I’m going to forever consider the best vacation, ever.

Well, to further confirm that date, I just booked tickets on the plane there and back through priceline. On that note, their quoted rates change daily, possibly hourly, not always increasing. So, if you aren’t impatient, try them again a few times through a few days to try to get a lower price, the tickets I got were about 360$ a week ago, yesterday I could’ve gotten them for 266$, today I paid 296$. Yea, I don’t know, I didn’t wait though, got them as soon as I could.

Now, the waiting game begins, tracking down a good motel to stay in and getting reservations, and then the actual flight there. I can’t wait really, it’s going to be great, I know it.
