“Police said the 12-gauge Mossberg shotgun the suspect used was reported stolen in North Carolina two years ago. It’s typically used by law enforcement, police said.

“This individual came fully ready to go to war with us,” said Comey. ‘This is a gun meant for nothing other than to hunt a man.’”
That right there is from here. Here’s a newsflash for the idiotic media and these cops, Mossberg shotguns are designed for two things, sporting (Hunting and clay shooting) and shorter range shooting (home defense and the like). They’re not designed ‘to hunt a man.’ and, even if they were, then WHY do cops need them? Since when do cops get to hunt men? Thought their job was to arrest criminals, not kill them?
When I was reading through the story and saw that the weapons used were shotguns my second thought was “Well, at least they can’t complain about evil assault weapons meant to shoot through schools and that fire massive bullets meant only to kill people!” Then, that line.
Why is it so had to think this through? Why must they make these massively ignorant statements?
This is also a warning to those people out there that just have someguns but don’t support the right to own ALL guns based on how it looks. If another AWB comes up, they wont stop at guns that look like military weapons. They’ll come for yours next. That statement is proof of that. If a Mossberg Pump Action Shotgun can be considered a gun meant only to hunt a human, what do you think your pump or semi auto shotgun will be considered? A sporting shotgun? Or a gun designed only to spray large amounts of lead in a single shot to maximize how many people you can shoot with it? Your bolt action hunting rifle, a decent target rifle that you’ve taken several bucks with, or a sniper rifle designed to hit people from massive distances?

Getting a new comp today, which is great. What’s not so great? Starting to find the files I want to transfer over to the new one…..this could take awhile…

Well, let me start by saying I keep VERY careful track of my households finances, it’s not that difficult to do, and I do it with a simple excel spreadsheet. Estimate the weekly known expenditures and income, plan ahead, etc etc. By doing this, I can avoid going into the negatives.

Now, this got a bit difficult at one point when I was switching from Banknorth to Webster Bank, as I had to start keeping track of what was going in each and what was coming out of each while all the bills got switched over, and my numbers didn’t always line up perfectly.

Month later, I just wrote off any irregularities and started fresh, figuring since the Banknorth account was closed, and the numbers weren’t off horribly, that it would work out fine.

Two days ago, I was proven wrong. If you’ll recall, I’m 19 and live with my father still, that’s a bit important since we share a bank account. He recently became an NRA Certified Pistol Safety Instructor, among other things. Submitting the paperwork for the certificate costs money for processing et al. Not a problem, was factored in awhile ago, during the switch-over….

Well, he’s since had his certificate for awhile, and thus I thought it was safe to assume the NRA already billed us (afterall, who bills AFTER they not only send you the stuff, but also you recieve it and have had it for weeks). Well, two days ago 42$ in charges went through from the NRA, appearently for his certification. 42$ unaccounted for on a relativly tight week just after bill week. This really was going to pose a problem, since I only check the online banking account every few days….

But wait! There’s more! As I’m sure a reader of my blog knows given who I used to moderate for, I play Star Wars Galaxies, have 2 active accounts, that ussually bill a week apart, one the first week of the month, one the second.

Well, surprise! They billed the SAME DAY this month.

What does that all mean? Well, after the 42$ in unexpected charges, I was left with only $13.87 in the bank, and the weekly power payment hadn’t gone through yet, neither had the SWG accounts.

Now, let’s do the math, the SWG accounts are $14.99 a piece, and only one was expected. The weekly power payment I make is $30.00

So, we add back in the unexpected 42$ and I would have $55.87 in the bank,

We take out the $14.99 for SWG, and it’s  $40.88, then take out the 30$ for the electric company, 10.88. Works out fine, but tight.

However, now you start at $13.87 due to that 42$, and the FIRST $14.99 takes you down to -$1.12! The NEXT unexpected $14.99 takes you down to -$16.11! Then finally, the power bill down to -$46.11! But wait! There’s more! Each time you go in the negatives, it’s an extra 37$ fee.

So 57$ in unexpected charges becomes $111.00 in fees!

It gets better though. Those fees don’t hit until 24hours AFTER the actual transaction processes in their database.

Now, I just pulled an all-nighter to call the bank and try to resolve the issues before the fees it, after having my father deposit enough cash to cover the problems on his way to work. Well, guess what, can’t do that. You have to wait until the FEES process.

So basically, I pulled an all nighter to call a bank and be told to call back in 24hours…

I hate banks.

How many people have read 1984 by Orwell? Well, of those that have, does anyone get the idea that the North Korean media is making grand claims of these missles having struck the US and the entire US being in a huge panic, when in reality their missles can hardly even reach Japan accuratly…
